Greek Postal Savings Bank (GPSB) is a State owned credit institution, operating under the legal form of a joint stock company (Société Anonyme). A basic strategic goal of the Bank is to cover the needs of its 4 million customers and in this sense provides a wide range of retail banking products and services. It offers several types of deposits (savings, term, undernotice) and loans (mortgage, personal, consumer, etc). It also offers services in trading of securities, in mutual funds, in repurchase agreements, in funds transfer and others.
All products and services are rendered throughout the country by the bank's network of 136 branches of its own and by the network of 750 postal outlets (only basic savings services) of the Hellenic Post with which Greek Postal Savings has signed a long term cooperation contract. The bank is subject to financial EU's regulations for the banking sector, set by the Bank of Greece. Greek Postal Savings Bank can be considered as one of the biggest and most popular banks in Greece. It is also the only credit institution in Greece having social commitment like other Savings Bank worldwide stipulated by its Statutes.
