SONAPOST is a state owned institution with 2.59 billion CFA Francs in capital held by the state of Burkina Faso. Under the supervision of three ministries, SONAPOST is managed by a director general under the control of the Council of the Administration (Conseil d’Administration). Its organisation is comprised of its general management, central and regional management, specialized centres, and the post offices. The principal activities of SONAPOST are the following: the collection, transport, and distribution of the post; the transfer of funds; and the collection and mobilisation of savings at a national level.
