CAIXA is a financial institution in the form of a government controlled company operating throughout the whole territory of Brazil. It is a member of the community of banks, financial institutions, clearing and other entities defined as the Brazilian Financial System. It is linked to the Finance Ministry, acts to assist the credit policy of the Federal Government and is subject to the decisions and the normative discipline of the competent bodies and inspection by the Brazilian Central Bank. It is the financial institution with the widest physical range in Brazil, being present in every brazilian municipality.
